A Scholarly look at Garabandal

The apparitions of Garabandal (1961-1965) awakened faith in millions of people and perplexed a great number of medics & theologians, who having studied the matter in depth, have certified that the phenomena, the healings & abundant conversions of Garabandal, in their judgment, have no natural explanation.  Numerous saints expressed interest in the events, along with several popes. Yet two commissions rejected the phenomena previously... Where does that leave the message of Garabandal?

Father Jose Luis Saavedra obtained the Extraordinary Prize at his graduation in Teacher Training (2005, University of Burgos), and studied Philosophy and Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.  He was ordained a priest in 2021. He holds his License & Doctorate in Theology, specializing in History, from the University of Navarre.
